Everything you wanted to know about Dew Arena, India’s largest gaming championship

Earlier this week Mountain Dew announced the second edition of the popular gaming championship – Dew Arena.The first edition last year saw a record participation from 75,000 gamers across the country making it the largest gaming championship in India till date. With an expected participation of over 150,000 gamers in this edition, Dew Arena might set a new benchmark this year.

How to participate?

To take the experience of gaming to the masses in this edition, Gaming Trucks will travel to 300 locations across 125 cities in 11 states for consumers to experience cutting edge technology. 16 participants can play at one point of time on the Gaming Truck. In all locations, Virtual Reality Zones will be created with the aim of presenting consumers with a disruptive experience.

The gamers would have an opportunity for participation across platforms – online with Counter Strike and DOTA 2, on-ground with Rocket League and Street Fighter 5, and on Android with Warrior Prince.

The gamers will battle it out every day through the six months of championship in order to secure a place in the Grand Finale scheduled to take place in the last week of September 2017 in New Delhi.

What does one get?

While winners will lay claim to the prize pool worth ₹20 lakhs, they will also get a chance to have their profile featured on Mountain Dew bottles.
